Finn + Emma Review
When we had our son, we decided to get all gender-neutral clothes because we knew that we would want a second child. Once he outgrew them, we took the time to meticulously organize all his baby clothes and put them away in storage boxes. So, when Zoe was born, we took the boxes out and swore that there was no need to spend even a penny on clothes because she has so many hand-me-downs.
Then I discovered ROMPERS.
Rompers are the perfect baby clothes. They are a combination of onesies and shorts so that you just need to put on one piece of clothing on the baby. The big deal? Have you met my daughter who screams the second she sees me pull out clothes to change her? With a romper, you don’t have to worry about pulling off shorts before changing diaper – just unbutton like a onesie and voila! Instant access to the land of weird smells! Plus, baby rompers are just so adorable. I just want to collect them all!
I received a romper and rattle buddy from Finn + Emma in exchange for writing an honest review on the blog. As always all opinion are 100% my own. This post may contain affiliate links, for more info click here.
So, when I was given the opportunity to work with Finn + Emma, I searched for rompers right away. The result … they have several to pick from! I was so happy. But not as happy as when I received the romper in the mail! Finn + Emma uses 100% G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton, and non-toxic, eco-friendly dyes for all their products, and I couldn’t believe how smooth the fabric felt. Zoe has sensitive skin that is prone to eczema, so we avoid any fabric that may irritate her skin. The breathable, soft fabric is thicker than that of any other clothes she has, and she looks super comfy wearing it. I immediately took her out for a spin, literally.
One thing that I love about this Finn + Emma romper is that it has a generous fit and the leg openings are nice and wide. Most rompers have thin elastic bands at the cuffs that cut into the baby’s legs and leave a ring around their thighs. Also, as they crawl and roll around the floor, the shorts tend to ride up and if we were in high school, I would be singing, “Who wear short shorts?” (Ah, good old leg hair remover commercials). The Finn + Emma romper’s soft ribbed leg cuffs give my baby the ability to move around without me pulling down her shorts every few minutes. Plus, the soft material covering the elastic is comfortable on my baby’s legs and does not leave any impression on her thighs. The rompers are complete with garment snaps that are lead/nickel free and feature real coconut inserts. Just perfect for a very active baby!
Finn + Emma does not only make baby apparel but toys and accessories as well. We also received a rattle buddy for Zoe to play with. Babies love toys that make noise. However, they may not be coordinated enough yet to control how hard they shake the toys. I can’t count how many times Zoe got excited over shaking maracas and ended up hitting herself in the head with them. Finn + Emma’s rattle buddies allow the babies to take their energy out by shaking the toys as fast and hard as they want without any danger of hurting themselves. They are also great for snuggling in the car seat!
Finn + Emma’s hand-knit toys are made by an artisanal women’s collective in Peru with G.O.T.S certified organic cotton yarn and wool stuffing, so we feel safe even when Zoe occasionally stuffs it in her mouth. Just make sure your dogs don’t steal it (or the baby doesn’t give it to the dog)! Oops…
This romper and the rattle buddy is from Finn + Emma’s fairytale collection. I love how Finn + Emma uses the same pattern for all the products under the same collection. This way, your baby can not only match from head to toe but with their toys and accessories as well!
