So Far, So Good: My Top #momlife Tweets in 2017
Oh Twitter, how you confuse me. Just like my toddler, I do love you and you make me laugh, but sometimes you frustrate the heck out of me. I mean, 140 words or less? Do you know how hard it is to express your frustrations as a mother in 140 words or less? However, since I don’t do crossword puzzles or sudokus and all I do all day is talk to my baby and my toddler, Twitter provides a good outlet for venting and I semi-enjoy the brain power needed to articulate my thoughts in so few words.
After getting a hang of Twitter, it became a challenge for me. I wrote tweets whenever something popped in my head, and I got a kick out of people responding to my tweets. I felt like a kid at Chuck E. Cheese playing skee-ball, making an effort to get the ball into the big money hole but feeling like I might as well have my eyes closed, and then just hoping I get lots of tickets for my efforts. Similarly, I tweeted something and then got super excited whenever people “liked” my tweets. And if people retweeted my tweets…by golly, I was over the moon! I am not as excited nowadays as I was back when I just started, but it’s still exciting to see that out of the millions of tweets out there, my tweets get some attention.
So, for those of you who are not on Twitter, here is a summary of my top 20 tweets for the first half of 2017:
