Aquavert – Safe and Effective Solution to Cleaning Up After the Whole Family
This post was sponsored by Aquavert and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.
Babies and toddlers are cute. They are also a huge mess most of the time. I can’t count the number of times I had to dive across the room just to slap some food that had been dropped on the ground from my toddler’s hands. When they are sick, I feel like my entire house is covered in mucus and saliva. Mealtimes look like the aftermath of World War II with food particles exploded all over the wall, carpet, and table. Therefore, finding good cleaning products that are safe for the little ones (as well as our beloved pets) is crucial for a clean home. I have tried many natural products, but when I look at the ingredients list, I am still puzzled by all the long chemical names that I can’t even attempt to pronounce. That’s why I was so excited when I discovered Aquavert!
If you look at the labels of the Aquavert bottle, you can see that the active ingredient in the Aquavert sanitizers is Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL), which is same substance that is produced by our white blood cells when our bodies encounter infections, viruses, cuts, or burns. Hypochlorous is formed by applying a low-voltage charge to saltwater (NaCl + H2O), and is a powerful, natural, effective germ-killing machine. Therefore, there is no need for ammonia, bleach, alcohol, dyes, fragrances, allergens, and harmful VOCs to help Aquavert sanitizers kill 99.99% of germs.
What makes hypochlorous acid so effective in killing germs is that unlike traditional cleaning products that work by poisoning the germs with ingredients that are potentially harmful to people, pets, and the environment, hypochlorous acid works by physically disassembles germs from the inside out. This mechanical way of killing the germs make the hypochlorous acid 120 times more powerful than hypochlorite, the active ingredient in liquid bleach (read more about it here).
As a mom, I know I am constantly worrying about my kids getting sick. So now that I might have convinced you Aquavert sanitizers are safe to use around our kids, you are probably wondering exactly how effective it is. Aquavert cleaners are EPA certified and can kill the deadliest of germs and bacteria such as Salmonella, Enterica, Escherichia coli (E. coli), Listeria Monocytogenes (Listeria), Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Staphylococcus aureus, and Klebsiella pneumonia. Since Zoe is just recovering from a horrible cold, we are using the Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer constantly to clean up all the boogers left on her toys so that the germs and bacteria don’t affect other members of the family.
To accurately assess Aquavert products’ effectiveness, we put the Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer to the test. Since the Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer won’t damage marble, stainless steel, vinyl, stone, ceramic, or other hard surfaces, I don’t have to worry about where I spray. The perfect spot for this test is the refrigerator. Every day, my toddlers’ greasy little fingers open and close the fridge doors just for fun, and they also love playing with the magnets on the fridge. And if you have experience cleaning stainless steel, you know that it’s really tough to get rid of the grease spots without leaving ugly streaks everywhere. After spraying the fridge with the Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer, I left the surface wet for 1 minute according to the directions and followed by wiping the surface with a dry paper towel. The result speaks for itself – shiny stainless-steel doors without any streaks!
We also tested out the Aquavert Degreaser on the greasy fingerprints that are left on the buttons of the microwave and range control panel. For the Degreaser, you don’t need to leave the product on the surface for 1 minute – you can wipe immediately after you spray. The result does not disappoint and we are left with a nice and clean control panel.
Both the Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer and the Degreaser do not have any strong smell, and I love that they’re safe for my kids and pets. They are the ones making the most mess around the house!
