#sorryzoe: Helping Hand
#sorryzoe, I know at first glance it seems like your brother was being super sweet and was lending you a helping hand in getting up. In fact, it reminds me of the incredibly adorable picture of cute, little puppies helping an infant to sit up. However, I doubt that the puppies pushed the infant down in the first place. Even if the puppies somehow gathered and conspired to push the little baby down onto the grass at one point, I highly doubt that they helped the baby get up, and then pushed him down again just for kicks. It almost looked like you were in the music video for Tubthumping by Chumbawamba as you got knocked down and got up again so many times (oh the 90’s). Your brother is lucky that you are so mellow and didn’t mind getting knocked over a few times just so that he could be proud that he was being a good brother by helping you up. I think mommy and daddy need to review how we teach your brother about kindness. I am just not sure how kind it is for someone to jump in and lend a helping hand when that particular someone caused the disaster in the first place. Also, the puppies got it right – it’s much better to push on your back than your head when helping you to get up, but mommy will let that one slide for now.
