Thank You, Costco Sample Carts
Who doesn’t love Costco sample carts? When we were young, a trip to Costco was a luxury. A variety of yummy free food? Yes please! Then when I became a mom, the Costco sample carts became way more than just delicious treats for the whole family.
Thank you, Costco sample carts, for providing us bite-sized samples that are irresistible to toddlers. Maybe it’s the size of the samples, or maybe it’s the toothpicks or tiny forks that the samples come with, but no matter the reason, my son will eat anything and everything from those carts. So when he is having an off day and does not have an appetite for anything I prepare at home, we head to Costco and he eats an entire meal’s worth of samples!
Thank you, Costco sample carts, for giving parents like me hope that our kids one day would eat more than pizza and fruit. Alex does not like meat… I believe it’s because of the tougher texture, or maybe because he only likes colorful food… Who knows why toddlers dislike certain food? However, when it comes to Costco samples, he will devour a piece of steak within seconds.
Thank you, Costco sample carts, for giving moms a little time to shop. Without the food samples, Alex would never sit still in the cart. I would have to map out where all the items on my shopping list are, take the most strategic route, and exit like I just robbed a jewelry store, all the while trying to keep Alex from launching himself off the cart. The food samples keep Alex entertained enough that I can actually walk at a normal pace and, dare I say, enjoy shopping at the massive warehouse.
Do your kids love the Costco sample carts as much as we do? Any favorites (Alex loves the sausages)?
